Wheat Field With Cypresses (recreation)

This college project was all about a fine detailed recreation from a famous artist. I chose Vincent Van Gogh’s Wheat Field With Cypresses. I carefully mapped out the canvas into 50 smaller sections and meticulously oil painted each section. I remember the smell of oils from that time, and specifically had to add extra globs of oil paint to get those thick, famous Van Gogh brush strokes.
